Hello! Welcome to Turkey Month! I can not believe how fast the year as gone by, but as I look out at the leaves slowly falling from the trees, I know that before long that the dormancy of winter will be here before we know it. I am looking forward to sweater weather, fireplaces and great food in the holidays coming up! A catch up on the Rabbitry is due for November! Lets get right into it: -We Could not attend the Autumn Harvest 2021. :( We really wanted to be able to go there and see everyone but it was a windy day and at 7am, the wind-chill was 39 degrees. I couldn't take the babies out there with it that cold! I did hear that they had a good time but it was in-fact very cold where we were to set up! The next day was beautiful and there was warm days afterwards too. Sometimes things work out like that. We are hoping to be able to do it next year with great weather! So definitely keep that in mind for Fall of 2022. -We have some new additions that came in finally and we got to hold them and love on them! See the gallery below! Matilda - Choc. VM - From C+D Farming Kane, PA. Quinn- Bkn Tort - From C+D Farming Kane, PA. Lydia- Bkn Magpie, Hoppy Tails Bunny Trails East TN Arthur- Smoke Pearl VM - Country Farms Rabbitry Creedmoor, NC Ellie May- Orange - Deep South Rabbitry, Mobile AL All are doing very well. Ellie May is so very very tiny. She is 9 wks right now and she comes in at 1.14 pounds! Shes VERY SMALL! - Moo has had her babies! Seven little thing came out and we are trying to make sure everyone gets a chance. We expect to at least lose 1 as she only has six teats and so someone will need fed manually by holding mom. We are not certain on the colors yet, but we are definitely thinking there are some otters in there, some solids and more brokens. What is upcoming? We are expecting the arrival of two chocolates! A buck and a proven doe. They come all the way from a gal named Kristen in SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH! How cool is that? We are getting them transported here with some help from our friend Christina at Glory Be (SLC to IA) Latrinda Anderson (IA to Omaha, NE) and our new friend Cheyenne from Olafs Polar Express (Omaha, NE to Augusta GA). We named them after chocolates! Godiva and Cadbury! (photo credits to KristenBaldwin) We are looking forward to 2022 and all the new pairing we have lined up. We are hoping that we get out of lilacs and blacks! With all the new colors we have, 2022 we think will be colorful and bright!
As always we have babies in need of homes so share us with your friends and let people know that we have bunnies and keep an eye out on updates on the new babies. We love each and every one of you for reading this and we hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! PS: Is it too early to put up the tree? Haha!
