Whispering Wilds Sales Policy
-- Rabbits are living, breathing animals and so we have instituted this sales policy for the benefit of the rabbits and to clarify all terms ahead of time.
We run a privately owned rabbitry and do not have regular hours of operation. We are currently not allowing interactions in person due to Covid-19 and RHDV2 virus that is killing domestic rabbits. A lot of money goes into building a herd and one sick rabbit can kill an entire barn. We restrict visitors in order to offer our herd of rabbits a peaceful and disease-free environment.
If a monetary transaction is made between us by the sale of one of our babies - This binds you to our Sales Policy and an agreement to love, care for, and provide the necessities of life for our rabbits by means of appropriate food/hay, adequate water supply, and basic hygiene of our rabbit. You are expected to fulfill the agreement herein below:
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
-~- We REQUIRE 50% non-refundable deposit of the total to reserve a bunny of your choice. The total must be paid prior to pickup or transport arrangements. I am happy to video any rabbit for you prior to purchase and provide you with any information and references of past buyers to help you make a decision, but we do not meet with the rabbits outside of the rabbitry at any time. Travel is stressful enough, and we like to keep it at one time for pickup.
-~- We only accept Zelle, CashApp and Venmo. No Checks..---- Bunny Prices are FIRM and we will only temporarily hold a bunny for a 'potential pending payment' for 30 minutes, then you forfeit your place in line and the bunny will be sold to another.
-~- All sales are final. No replacements or exchanges. In the event your selected rabbit becomes ill within 24 Hrs; We will offer another available bunny in its place (if available) or keep your deposit towards another litter’s kit, or refund in full. All Deposits and Adoption fees are non-refundable; however if we cancel a sale without explanation, your deposit will be returned to you.
-~- If the bunny is not a good fit within the five day trial period of ownership, we will take the rabbit back - no questions asked for free. We will find a bunny better suited to your needs, in order to make sure you are happy with your experience with us. HOWEVER, If you no longer want your purchased rabbit after trial period (5 days from pickup) and wish to surrender them to us to rehome, there will be a $50 rehoming fee charged for your rabbits sudden care that we need to plan for. (This covers unexpected food, care, and displacement of our Rabbitry space.)
-~- We will not sell rabbits to anyone under the age of 18 without parental consent.
-~- Rabbits are sold on a first-come first-served basis, and we will not hold without a deposit.
-~- If rabbits are not picked up within 24 hours of the arranged pick-up date and time, then your deposits/payments are forfeited and we will resell or retain the rabbit.
-~- If you choose to forfeit the sale or adoption for any reason, your deposits/payments are forfeited.
-~- Rabbits must be at least 8 weeks old before they leave the rabbitry.
-~- At all times, we retain the first right of refusal - This means you must offer the rabbit back to us at paid value before you may sell, swap, or gift it to anyone else. If you have not made any improvements to the rabbit (such as show wins or spay/neuter) then you must offer the rabbit back to us at the price you paid.
-~- We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a sale at any time during the sales process without warning or explanation. And Sales Policy terms can change at any time.
BUNNY HEALTH
-~- We do not knowingly sell any sick animals, and all rabbits are sold healthy when they leave my rabbitry to the best of my knowledge. You are responsible to check over your rabbit to be sure there are no problems at time of pickup (this is voided if you use a transport). We will not be responsible for any vet bills incurred by rabbits that have been sold.
-~- Once any rabbit leaves my possession, we will not be held liable for any problems that arise from our transaction, either directly or indirectly.
-~- We make every effort to correctly determine the sex of all rabbits, with a final confirmation before they leave our possession; however, rabbit gender cannot be 100% guaranteed. If you seek one gender or the other, and there is a mix-up on our end, we will take back the rabbit and replace with gender corrected rabbit.
-~- We handle the rabbits on a regular basis and breed for both quality and disposition. We will not sell any rabbit that shows the slightest sign of aggression (this includes breeding stock). Once removed from our care, the bunny will need a period of adjustment to the sights, sounds, and smells of its new environment. Scared/stressed out bunnies do nip, kick, and scratch. Please be aware of this and be understanding of the upheaval in your new rabbits life.
-~- We do not guarantee any rabbit’s future breeding ability, reproductive performance, quality of offspring, show winning, temperament, size, etc. What you see at the time of purchase is what you are purchasing and it is solely at your own risk.
-~- At any sign of illness we recommend taking the rabbit to the vet as they are sensitive to some diseases of the stomach by design. These conditions can be swiftly fatal.
DELIVERY & PICKUP (LOCAL)
-~- We reach out a few days before the ready by date on those who have put down a deposit or paid in full to schedule a meeting day, place, and time that works for us both. We arrange pickups at neutral place.
-~- On the scheduled day of pick-up, you must be on time for that appointment. If you can not make the appointment, we must be notified 24hrs hours prior. If you are late an hour or more, no show us, or forget and need to reschedule when we are already awaiting you - You will be subjected to an extra $25 fee before we hand over the rabbit to you.
-~- Upon pickup, you will have to signature verify that you understand/have read this rabbit sales policy and received the bunny & items. The pedigree will also be gone over for accuracy at this time and you will receive the items we provide.
-~- Rabbits must be picked up within 24 hours of the arranged pick-up date and time and will only be held for up to one week after total is paid before it will be resold unless later arrangement terms are accepted by us.
-~- Bring a suitable carrier at the time of pickup. We do not provide carriers for your rabbit. If you do not have a suitable carrier - (cat carrier or a soft animal carrier), then we reserve the right to refuse to relinquish possession of the rabbit.
-~- We do not ship rabbits via airlines. You are welcome to arrange transport of your rabbit, but you are completely responsible for making all arrangements and paying for any Rabbit Transport from my location to yours. I assume no responsibility for death or illness of my rabbit put on a transport.
PREFIXES & PEDIGREES (For Showers & Breeders)
All pedigreed rabbits sold for show will retain the prefix “Whispering Wilds” unless another prefix is already in place. This prefix MUST be retained in the name of the rabbit. If the rabbit does not have a name on it’s pedigree but instead lists its tattoo or rabbitry number, then you may name the rabbit as long as the prefix “Whispering Wilds” remains. If the rabbit has been fully named prior to or during the time of sale, that name will remain the rabbit’s formal name. ALL PEDIGREES on future offspring made from our stock MUST bear the Whispering Wilds prefix before the name as Dam or Sire.
Example: You purchase Rabbit A from us that was born here and rename him as your rabbitry's rabbit. Rabbit A is still Whispering Wilds "A". The offspring will need to have Whispering Wilds "A" as the mother or father on pedigrees, not -Your rabbitrys- "B-C or D", The rabbit was not your creation, no matter the new ownership. RESPECT THE CRAFT. Respect what isn't yours to take credit for. Renaming doesn't change that. That is not how breeders are to handle business or pedigrees.
Anyone who does this will be blacklisted and never sold to again - effective immediately.
